Hi!
Neither Synaptic nor Software Manager are displaying Skype. The best way to install it?

I'd probably try gdebi
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GDebi#GDEBI
http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-linux/
--to get the .deb file, if it is available or the skype web site..
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Skype
--don't know what Ubuntu might have available..

I went to the Skype website and downloaded skype-debian_4.3.0.37-1_I386.deb . then I installed it with Gdebi. Worked perfectly.
That file is under Linux then click Debian 7 (multiarch).

Hi!
Thank you, both!

Great!
If you can now go back to your original post and edit it and type (SOLVED] in the title after the heading it will help someone else in the future.
Thanks!
