Problem with pidgin

Hello!I have mint 7 but the pidgin doesn't works properly..
it always show me under the my e-mail disconnected that Authentication Failure..
I anyone who can help me thank u..

Sounds like a account login problem. Are you absolutely certain that you have the correct username and password set for the account you are trying to log into.

I checked it a lot of times..It was correct..This is the same problem and in emesene..I try to think something but it make no sense..same problem in two programs.. thank u for your time..

Check the GetDeb site for upgrading Pidgin in Mint 7, the updated version should solve the problem. Make sure to read the information on how to use the GetDeb repos because they have changed for Karmic / Mint 8. (Same base)

Sometimes the problem is as simple as this.....


On some of them you have to type in the whole e-mail address with the @hotmail, ect. With others you use your screen name ONLY without using the full email address. Try playing with that. I dont know if its case sensitive or not.

Try typing your password in again and make sure you are using the right name for the right account....A few times I thought I was typing in my name for yahoo but I was actually accidentally putting it under MSN or something.
