If I could get a non-experimental version of Nautilus-Elementary in Debian I'd be using that too.

Glad my tutorial helped some people. Personally I haven't noticed any problems using FF4.
I'm still using Testing and I'm running Iceweasel 4 (Debian re-branded Firefox) just fine. I just followed the instructions here.

It is experimental, but Hadret's experimental Debian PPA has a solid version of nautilus-elementary in it. I installed it a couple of days ago and haven't had any problems to speak of.

not sure about a fix, but it seems this process works on LMDE, but doesn't work on Ubuntu based Mint releases. Ubuntu starts out "broken by default" and just gets worse... good luck
