[SOLVED] gtk+ apps in KDE

Postby tapp on Mon Mar 28, 2011 8:18 am

Hi!!!

I suppose this has already been discussed, but I didn't find it in this forum.

I installed KDE, and my GTK (or Gnome apps) look ugly. I can't find the package system-config-gtk-kde to define settings for GTK apps in System preferences->Aspect (I'm translating fro spanish...)

Are there any way or package to configure GTK apps appereance?

Thanks for your attention.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I solved it!

I had a file named .gtkrc-2.0-kde and I just copied to .gtkrc-2.0 and now the gtk apps have the same looking as the kde apps.

BTW, the file has the following contents:

Code: Select all
# This file was written by KDE
# You can edit it in the KDE control center, under "GTK Styles and Fonts"

include "/usr/share/themes/QtCurve/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"

style "user-font"
{
        font_name="Schoolboy Text"
}

gtk-theme-name="QtCurve"
gtk-font-name="Schoolboy Text 10"

Of course, I have selected QTCurve style in KDE.

Regards.
