Impressive pdf viewer fails to follow links

Post by ecksiota »

Dear all,

It might very well be that I am doing something wrong, but I don't see what. I installed impressive 0.10.3~WIP+svn31-1 and its dependencies from the default repositories. When I run it on a file generated using latex-beamer and click on a hyperlink, I get the following error in the terminal window:

gvfs-open: file:///home/shreyas/Talks/Vancouver/Navigation18: error opening location: Error stating file '/home/shreyas/Talks/Vancouver/Navigation18': No such file or directory

I haven't read anyone else running into this error. Have I configured some software incorrectly? Please help.

Thanks.

From the URL in the error message, it looks like it is pointing at a file that is on the author's hard drive! Does the link work in another PDF viewer?

Yes, I verified with xpdf and evince. With both the navigation links work. The pdf file is named Talk.pdf, and I am supposing "Navigation18" is the internal PDF reference to the navigation link.

@zabenka
I use pdf-shuffler - it's in the LM9 repository - don't know about later versions - very useful little program.

Make new pdfs from multiple pages, shift pages around within a document or delete pages.
