BTW, I'm having the same problem with Rhythmbox in LM12 too, so that would indeed confirm that it's a gdm3 issue.

Thanks for the reply; at least I know it's not just some wierd setup i have here. Unfortunately I tried making the switch back from gdm3 to gdm, but it didn't seem to have any affect.
