Calendar Intigration

Postby andrew5859 on Mon Feb 13, 2012 12:32 pm

To the Devs:

I would make this one rquest to you......could you start giving the options of different calendars in the gnome version of linux, like you do with the KDE version.
I ask this because in the KDE version, there are several options as to types of, time zones......I'm interested in having a Hebrew calendar, with Hebrew year, the different Holy days and days off, etc......just like the KDE...is that a possibility for you that you could make that happen.....we here in gnomeland need to have options as well...what's good for KDE is good for Gnome....thank you....cheers

You can import any calendar you want into Evolution. For example here is one I made earlier :)

http://www.hebcal.com/hebcal/?year=2012 ... w+Calendar

I don't suggest you download my example because I don't even know what I am doing here, but if you create your own calendar then go to the Apple Ical instructions and click on the 'alternate option' (which is to download the calendar) it will even open in Evolution for you.

Now I haven't followed the process much more than that because I don't really have much use for a Hebrew calendar, but if you want to create your own you only have to start at http://www.hebcal.com/hebcal/ and follow the instructions as I did. It contains a lot of different options that I don't even understand - but you might.
