Thunderbird and Firefox crashing - SOLVED

Postby andybriz on Thu Feb 23, 2012 5:26 pm

Hi people

I am running Mint Xfce edition. Yesterday I did an update and since then both Firefox and Thunderbird crash on startup. In both cases a message dialog is displayed with the message

The application had a problem and closed.
Unfortunately, the crash reporter is unable to submit a report for this crash.
Details: The application did not identify itself.

Any ideas anyone?

Andy

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Moved here by moderator

Try starting Firefox in safe mode. From terminal run:
Code: Select all
firefox -safe-mode

If you get any errors on the terminal, please share those here.

I have solved this. The problem was actually that I have no space left on my disk. Kind of surprised not to have seen some kind of warning!
