Printer Samsung CLP300 color prints too dark

HI @all,

I'm new to LMDE and so far quite happy with it. Even my 12 year old scanner works...
But now I've run into a problem with my Samsung CLP 300 USB printer: All color prints are way too dark. B/W prints are ok.

All I fount on the net where some old threads from ~2008, like http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=879902. This and most other Treads come down to changing/installing a color profile in cups print manager. But this doesn't change my color problem at all, no matter which profile I select, the colors remain exactly the same.

I also tried to install the proprietary Samsung drivers from http://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/, but this also didn't help.

My system is LMDE 201204. I already had the same problem in Ubuntu 11-04, but at this time my main system was Windows XP, so I didn't care.
