Good day!
I am in the process of finding an upgrade for my five year old HP Compaq laptop on which I run LMDE. I am looking for a rather powerful machine since I also would like to do some number crunching on it. The HP Elitebook 8460p seems to be an option but before just buying I would like to know whether LMDE will install and run smoothly on it. I really don't have a lot of time to fiddle around to solve problems. Shall appreciate your advice.
Thanks!!
Johan

It should run smoothly but...
Performance and efficiency will be far superior running windows .
With Linux in mind I would pick something without hybrid graphics...HP recommends Windows® 7.

Hmmm... but it seems to me almost every brand recommends Windows 7. What about Lenovo Thinkpad?toomuchcoffee wrote:It should run smoothly but...With Linux in mind I would pick something without hybrid graphics...HP recommends Windows® 7.
