So, I've been running the default Mint 13 Cinnamon (And before that Mint 13 KDE) without any issues, but when I booted the LMDE Live USB, i got sharp, thick lines in the colours of the rainbow running vertically down my screen. I tried installing it on a spare partition on my HDD, with the same result.
Seems to me, that the drivers that come with Mint 13, and LMDE, are different, or just install differently on my system... Has anyone else had this issue? Appreciate any help!
EDIT: This is solved, turns out that the live DVD for LMDE on the site is way out of date, and was compiled a week or so before my chipset hit the market... One mega update fixed all my issues. Feel stupid now... Ah well.
Interesting sidenote: Before I updated, if I suspended my session, when it booted again, the stripes were gone, and everything worked perfectly.
