suspend doesn't work on Mac Mini

Postby robertb on Sun Sep 29, 2013 12:55 pm

I have a Macmini3,1 and suspend doesn't work with LMDE (mate edition).

The main symptom is that, after the power button on the back is pressed to wake it up from sleep, the screen remains black/blank (the monitor remains off) and the networking isn't reenabled (I cannot access it from any other machine). I.e., it's probably dead. (Looking in /var/log/pm-suspend.log supports this notion since it shows the system going to sleep but never anything about trying to wake up.)

I'm running the latest version of stuff:
Code: Select all
Linux mini 3.10-2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.10.5-1 (2013-08-07) x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ dpkg -l pm-utils
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
|/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name           Version        Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii  pm-utils       1.4.1-11       utilities and scripts for power management

Is it possible to get this working?
