LMDE MATE 32-bit. Very slow after suspend

Postby Tone the Bone on Sat Nov 09, 2013 12:22 pm

Hello,

After coming out of suspend, the computer runs incredibly slowly. There don't seem to be any processes in particular slowing it down, just that everything goes at a snail's pace and takes up all the CPU time. It seems this issue is already known, but I havn't found a sensible soulution yet. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello again.

It seems that there are ways in Debian to help with this problem.

Have a look at this link and see if it helps. https://wiki.debian.org/BootProcessSpeedup

I also have a Pentium 4 2.8 machine with LMDE installed but it is a Dell and starts up from sleep quicker that my new 64bit machine.

Hi Fornhamfred,
Thanks for the link. I have no problem with boot times or time to come out of suspend, but that the computer slows down dramatically after coming out of suspend and won't go back to normal until restarted.
