KVM Switch and Mouse buttons not working

Postby chrism66 on Sun Nov 17, 2013 12:44 am

Hi all, I just made split my dual booting Windows/LMDE machine into separate boxes. I am using an older PS/2 KVM switch (Aluratek) that I had from a while ago that worked flawlessly with Ubuntu and Windows Boxes. The problem is that in LMDE the mouse pointer moves around just fine but the buttons on the mouse only seem too work in the window selection in the panel.

Details:

Aluratek PS/2 KVM Switch
Logitech MX518 Mouse (USB mouse, the mouse works flawlessly in LDME box by itself either plugged into the USB, or the PS/2 with adapter.

From xorg.conf:

ection "InputDevice"

# generated from default
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "auto"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

Any help in getting this to work would be greatly appreciated. I am starting a new job in two week tele-commuting and would like the Linux box working for this job.
