Android phone connectio issue (2.3.6) [SOLVED]

Postby ff0rt on Tue Dec 17, 2013 6:40 pm

I recently installed LMDE Cinnamom 64 bit to replace Ubuntu (before I had an older LMDE Xfce). Now I'm no more able to connect my Android phone (Samsung Ace Plus with Android 2.3.6), as mass memory, as I did before. When I connect the cable, I get the usual notification on the phone, I press the button “connect” and, after a few seconds, the phone says “connected”. In Nemo I get the usual two icons for the phone memory and SD card, however when I double clic nothing happens. In the properties they are indicated as “unknown type”. I add a screenshot.

Can somebody help me? I never had this kind of issue with other distros!

I now see that it seems a known bug with the latest UP:

The temporary solution seems a little tricky for me... But I'm not an expert at all.

Solved istalling "gnome-disk-utility". It allows me to mount and navigate phone memory and SD card without issues.
