samsung monitor overscans

Postby bennypr0fane on Mon Dec 23, 2013 1:46 pm

Hello,
I just installed LMDE on a Zotac Zbox nano. So far everything's fine, only that it seems the image is too large for the screen, a piece of the edge is cut off on each side.
The Zbox has an HDMI out, and the monitor has a DVI in, so I have an HDMI>DVI cable connecting them.
I had the same issue connecting a Raspberry PI to that screen with the same cable, so it's probably about that conversion.
On the RPi in some OSs there was some tool that would fix this, so can someone point me a utility that'll do this in LMDE?
It seems to think the monitor is 7" 1280x720 res, while really it's 27" with 1366x768

I think I mentioned everything relevant, but please let me know if there's any information missing from this post that might help solve the problem.
