Missing "GLX" on display ":0.0"

Postby leeward on Mon Apr 07, 2014 10:15 pm

When I run plot in Octave, I found a error saying
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Insufficient GL support

Then I run glxinfo and glxgears
$ glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig
$ glxgears
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual

Just some weeks ago, I've used Octave to plot something and works perfectly. I wonder if the recent system updatings cause the problem.

And I tried reinstall nvidia-driver and the official Nvidia driver according to the LMDE's guide, but all failed to start X session.
