Hello,
I've found that my system doesn't suspend while closing the laptop lid. Of course, everything is set correctly in power management menu. I did a little research, but found nothing - just some clues, but no solution. My laptop is DELL E6400 - everything works fine with other OS-es (Arch, Debian, etc).
Thx in advance.

Re: Cinnamon desktop "closing the lid" issue
I had this very problem on my other laptop with Soldyk and Xubuntu as I reported on the Solydxk forum here:

You will see from my last posting in that thread that upgrading Solydxk to the latest version, going from kernel 3.11 to 3.13, fixed my suspend problem for that distro. I am hoping that when Linux Mint 17 arrives in the near future the suspend problem will have gone. Fingers crossed.
