[SOLVED]Flickering on Terminal (650TI with 334.21 drive)

Postby random0munky on Mon May 26, 2014 7:54 pm

Hi,

I was trying to use the search but wasn't able to come up with anything. I have installed the most recent LMDE 64-bit, also checked the md5 sum to make sure it was genuine. I have a flickering issue where in terminal, after executing a command such as 'ls' the prompt flickers. In firefox, links flicker as you are hovering over a search result in google or duckduckgo, in nemo window manager the tree of folders at the top flickers as you are moving your mouse. This happens periodically but not all the time.

I have a 650TI with 334.21 drivers installed. This behavior was still happening when I was running the live usb of debian.

Let me know if there's any further information I can provide.

I made a youtube video of the issue: http://youtu.be/UbM8fXCegXs?t=1m7s

If you are unable to view the video. Please let me know. I have it under unlisted for the moment.

Thanks

[SOLVED]

This has been fixed. The solution was to roll back to Nvidia driver v331.79.

Here are the links that were related to my issue posted by /u/poopyfartclocks at http://www.reddit.com/r/debian/comments ... 50ti_with/
