Suspend partially working on Samsung N230

LMDE is running a treat on my Samsung N230 netbook except a slight weirdness. I can suspend & restore if the power cable is attached, but the restore fails if the the box is running on battery. Strange...

I'm using the Liquorix 2.6.37-0 i686 kernel & I have to say this is the first time hibernate, suspend & the Fn keys all work OK (except backlight but I can live with that). Joy! It has an additional 1 GiB RAM (total 2 GiB). The swap UUID matches the initramfs-tools conf for resume though I think that is just for hibernation.

Any ideas?
