I followed instructions from the Debian Wiki for loading the ATI/AMD proprietary driver. The control center is in the menu but doesn't open as root (Mint 9 had both root & non-root items in the menu). How do I change the command line in the menu item to run it as root?

Mine is set up as:
- Code: Select all
amdxdg-su -c amdcccle
Which works fine here. If that fails you could try:
- Code: Select all
gksudo amdcccle
Kernel Linux Tex 3.2.2-1 (64 bit) xfce , burg
Arch
ATI Radeon HD 4670, 1GB
OSS4
AMD Phenom II X4 (965BE) @ 3.6 Ghz (Overclocked)
8Gb RAM

Thanks, that second one did it. Just asks me for my password, then I'm in.
