Hi all
when I plug in headphones in my new Asus laptop (Intel 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio), the on-board speakers are not muted. I've looked in the archives but haven't found a solution.
I'm double-booting with LMDE 64-bit / Windows 7. The speakers get muted when I'm in Windows, so it's not a hardware problem.
Any way to get Mint to detect that headphones have been plugged in? In an earlier posts, somebody said that they ticked a box in Gnome ALSA Mixer to have the headphones detected, but I don't see that setting in my version of the program (0.9.7).
Any help much appreciated,
Pierre.
