ThinkPad Edge 11 and Creative Tactic 3D Alpha

Hey LMDE Forum,

I'm a bit confused by a situation I'm having with my new ThinkPad.
I'm trying out LMDE for about a week now and everything works fine, I've even installed some missing drivers n stuff...
But today I wanted to listen to some music and I figured out that the sound jack isn't working.
So I've searched unsuccessfully in google and certain forums for a while and tried to use my Creative Headset. It's got a USB adapter...

And LMDE recognizes my headset and I even can choose it in the pulseaudio preferences but there's no sound and I can't use my microphone (just how I can't use the intern mic of my notebook).
So my questions are:

Does anyone know this problem or have the same headset ?
Does anybody have an idea about the intern mic or the jack itself ?

- thanks in advance !

Edit:

Hey guys,

I've got it working by now.
I just updated LMDE and after fixing the grub-bootloader by hand I got the headset reconfigured.
Now it's working fine...
And even the intern Mic works....

Good Job, LMDE programmers xD

They just got it working for me.

thanx.
