OK, it has been a while. Has anyone had any luck with this yet

Is there a place we can go to follow the development of jockey-gtk for LMDE? For me, it's the last piece I need before making the final switch from LM Ubuntu Edition to LMDE.

I guess that settles it: Jockey will never be ported to LMDE.

What about that "new driver manager" ?

There it is, the new Device Driver Manager is included in LMDE 201303 http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2346 and can be installed on other up-to-date LMDE systems with:
