Samsung ML-2010PR printing trouble on LMDE

I seem to have a weird problem. My printer (Samsung ML-2010PR) would print normally on plugging it in and printing a document. However on retrying to print - for example, if I try to print the same (or another) document once again, it won't work. It seems that the printing job is sent to the printer, but the printer would not print it. I can re-print normally if I plug out the USB cable and then plug it back again.

I have tried several drivers (SPL II, Splix, Foomatic/gdi; btw. they are all working well on my dual-boot Ubuntu) - none of them solved my problem under LMDE. That would probably imply a USB connection problem? On the other hand, on my job I tested the Hp LaserJet 1320 that worked well under all circumstances. So - what would be the problem and how to solve it? Thanks.

It seems I managed to solve the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling all printer-connected packages (including samba). There seems to have been a conflict somwhere...
