promt "authentication required by..." won't accept password

Postby i_hate_my_wlan on Wed Jul 16, 2014 1:40 am

hello

i am using the debian based version of linux mint and have a connection with the security "WPA & WPA2 Personal".

when i try to connect to my network the promt askes me for my password. after i have entered it, the button "Connect" is still inactive. if i would add one more symbol the button becomes active. (my password is 9 characters long)

i tried to set the password under "Configure VPN", but everytime i try to connect, a new connection is created with a new number.

for example:
i set the password for the conntection "test"
i connect to "test"
it won't take my password
i open "Configure VPN"
suddenly there are two connections. "test" and "test 1"

if i edit "test" i find that tha password and the security is still the way i set it, but "test 1" has the default settings. if i would change the settings for "test 1" it creates "test 2" after the promp refuses my password.

thank you very much for any help
