BCM43227 Wifi not working in LinuxMint 201204 64bit

Hi

I have Acer Aspire 5750z that has a BCM43227 chip. iwconfig only shows lo and eth0, but no wlan0.

I first followed this http://wiki.debian.org/wl/ but it did not work.

This however says to NOT use the 'wl' driver as it causes issues https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_wireless

How can I make my wifi work?

I'd definitely follow the Debian Wheezy instructions over the arch ones, but here's an Ubuntu post where someone seems to have gotten it working:
