Well I figure out how to install the realtek wireless driver. I'm happy to say I have my wireless working with linux. I guess those that have had an issue. Here is what I did
In your terminal so you can change to super user
Code: Select all
 sudo su

Then I right clicked the file, go down to root actions, select (Open terminal here). It should have your info in a red color, at least for me then you
Code: Select all
make

When that is done
Code: Select all
make install

Wait for this to finish
Code: Select all
reboot

How I did it. But I'm still learning. Happy I learned something today and hope it helps for someone else.

Nice work, not quite right though. The "standard" way is to do the "make" first, then the "sudo su" (which you can do in one command as "su -c make install"). You don't really want to compile packages as root/superuser, as you can sometimes get issues. You don't need to be root to unpack to tar file either (as long as you unpack into a subfolder of /home - this is good practice too)
