wifi connection notification does not disappear after wakeup

Hi,

When I wake up my computer after it goes to sleep, I get the normal notification that I am connected to my wifi network (white text on black box, upper right of screen). However, the notification does not go away. It disappears when I mouse over it, but then it reappears and stays there until I restart the computer. Any ideas?
