I just bought a MS-1242-ID1 (Wind12 U200) and have installed Mint Debian on it. It has an RALink RT3090 wireless card, but the card does not seem to work with Mint Debian (or just Debian). I have found the driver and firmware on the manufacturer's website (http://www.ralinktech.com/en/04_supp...ort.php?sn=501), but have no idea how to install it. When I click on the network icon at the bottom of my screen, I see the message: "Wireless is disabled by hardware switch." I have no idea how to fix this, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: RALink RT3090 Wireless Adapter Not Working
This message means that the wifi on/off button is most likely turned off, it is usually not a wifi driver issue.
When you've installed the updates, you'll have a recent kernel version (3.x) which supports Ralink RT28xx/30xx chips without too much problems. You shouldn't need a driver from Ralink anymore.
