my ibm x31 wlan can't connect on LMDE 201109 but it can work

Hi all,

I am a linux beginner, I am seeking anyone can slove my problem that
mu notebook ibm x31 running with LMDE 201109 but found it can't connect the wifi even it can detect the wlan module 'cisco aironet 802.11b' and scan the strong signal of the wifi router but never can conncet.
But it can work on the previous version LMDE 201101. Any idea?
