Will LMDE + BCM4322 provide wireless connect?[solved]

Folks:
Basically very new to LM, took some doing to get LMDE bootable in my MBPro which I finally achieved last weekend; and first off the network lists the wireless as not available due to "missing firmware." I read through a search here looking for solutions to the wireless issues and there seem to be a range of answers, from "LMDE doesn't do wireless" to this seemingly easy looking solution: http://wiki.debian.org/brcm80211 . . . however this machine is using the BCM4322 card, but that number isn't mentioned in the wiki . . . . Would this wiki still apply to fixing the wireless issues or would it require the seemingly more complicated suggestions that were also found recommending the use of "ndiswrapper"?? I also saw a post where someone posted with the comment, "this is not the 'missing firmware' syndrome," and then it didn't seem like there was any further comment on that "syndrome" so I couldn't tell if this data from the wiki.debian/brcm80211 would handle the "missing firmware" problem or not. I don't have much in the way of command line knowledge, so simple solutions are the preferred direction; but before diving into it I'm just wondering whether LMDE will provide wireless at all, because I found posts from not too long ago saying that it wouldn't . . . . Insights are appreciated.
e.e.p.
