Network-manager problem.

Postby Lelouch on Mon Apr 16, 2012 12:31 am

Well I've been trying to install LMDE and everytime I install network-manager by doing this:
$ su
# aptitude update
# aptitude install network-manager-gnome
After I logout and log back in I get stuck in tty1 mode I've tried 3 times and it happens everytime when I try to enable wireless. Does anyone know what might be the issue?

LMDE had network manager installed by default.
You shouldn't need to install in Live session.

Perhaps your iso had error. Check md5sum, it wrong, re-download official iso.

I was following instructions from debian wiki because after I download the realtek driver when I type ./autorun.sh it says Fatal: module not found and I don't know how to fix it..

Which Debian Wiki?
Where did you get the Realtek drivers from?
My Linux history: Ubuntu 10.04 - 10.10 - LMDE 201109 - UP4 My sources.list/preferences

Computers is not science. And it's not magic - it's something in between.
