vpn problem tun0 not being created

Hi all,

I just reloaded my laptop with LMDE with MATE. I'm trying to setup my VPN to work. Everything looks okay with the exception of tun0 is not being created, thus the tunnel doesn't work.

I can manually run vpnc as root and enter the info manually, tun0 then show up and everything works fine.

What am I missing?
