Postby sniperbolero on Wed Jun 27, 2012 8:28 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to install GNS3 for my CCNA studies, however when i try to install it i'm getting this error

Code: Select all
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gns3 : Depends: dynamips (>= 0.2.7-0.2.8RC1) but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

how do I fix the broken package?

Thanks!

After a couple of hours... i was able to resolve this by manually installing a .deb package of dynamips from http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/dynamips, after installing it i was able to install GNS3 using apt-get :)
