external hard drive on router visible in caja but...

It won't acces the folder

in caja i see the network folder

under the network folder is windows network

under windows network is the name of the samba workgroup for the hard drive, namely lizbeth

when i click the folder it won't open. it says opening lizbeth then the error comes up unable to mount location, unable to retrieve share list from server

in a terminal smbtree shows

• /Desktop $ smbtree
  Enter lizbeth's password:
  WORKGROUP
  LIZBETH
  \\LIZZI lizzi

which is exactly how i have it listed in the router, lizbeth is the work group and lizzi is the device name

I have tried to adjust the router to share with and without a password account, nothing seems to help.

after disabling opendns servers, everything worked great.
