Hi, I am trying to access my Blackberry Playbook as a network folder. I can easily do this in windows by opening run and typing
\\192.168.0.19\media
it then asks for user and password and I can view the files on the Playbook.
I have Samba installed in LMDE, I tried the same line in a terminal with no luck.
Any one know how to do this simple task?
TIA

If your were running Mint then it would be:
But since you're running LMDE you've got some stuff to do first:
Make sure the following package is installed. If they are not then install it:
You need to add yourself to the "fuse" group:
Code: Select all
sudo gpasswd -a your_user_name fuse
And you need to logout and login again.

altair4,
Thanks for the quick and simple solution, that was very quick and now I can see my PB from my secure Debian desktop. I am going to post your instructions at Crackberry forums for others running Linux.
Your the greatest
Happy New Year.

This works for me, even using the USB cable, which never worked before when I was running Ubuntu.
But is it possible to share the Internet connection of the Linux Mint PC with the Playbook? i.e. Mint is connected via wired connection to Internet, Playbook connects to PC via USB cable, so how can Playbook then use Internet, without using Wi Fi?
