PulseAudio in tray?

For quite some time I've been trying to get pulseaudio back the way I used to have it. But the volume tray icon (with mouse click - volume control) doesn't get me to the control panel of pulseaudio, where you can adjust the volume of individual programs, instead it takes me to something that looks like the above picture in this post: http://forums.mate-desktop.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=74 , except that it does claim to be a pulseaudio mixer in it's title bar.

How do I get pulseaudio back? I do have pulseaudio volume control installed.
