Nvidia not providing Direct Rendering for Wine

Post by nicolasdiogo »

hello,

while using my laptop with Ubuntu 12.04 amd64 i was able to use CrossOver just fine (http://www.codeweavers.com)

since i started to use LMDE amd64, i find that Direct Rendering can not be used by CrossOver.

I would like ask those using LMDE with wine and PlayOnLinux, if they have also encountered this problem as well.
and if they have managed to solve this problem.

this is what CrossOver is accusing on my system:
# /opt/cxoffice/bin/cxdiag

"Title"="Missing 32bit libhal.so.1 library"
"Description"="This may be needed for Windows applications to
automatically detect CD-ROM and USB key insertion."

[OpenglNoDRI]

issue and will prevent most 3D games and applications from working

and the system returns:
# glxinfo | grep rendering
