since update pack 7 i have got annoying sound problems in lmde:
when i plug in my hdmi screen sound will change to "Built-in Audio Digital Stereo (HDMI)". Yet my screen hasn't got any sound, resulting in no sound.
I have to switch it back manually in:
Sound -> Hardware from "Digital Stereo (HDMI)..." to "Analog Stereo Duplex"
and afterwards in Sound -> Output
from "Built-in Audio Digital Stereo (HDMI)" to "Built-in Audio Analog Stereo" all the time.
Sound card is HDA Intel - HDA Intel MID.
I already had disabled the automatic switching (don't remember if it was editing the /etc/asound.conf or something else), but this had even worse consequences: the HDMI issue was resolved, but I had to manually switch between speaker and headphone all the time then - even more annoying.
This only started with update pack 7, before everything worked perfect.
Any ideas how to solve this?
I don't need HDMI sound - never! can i simply disable it?
