HP 625 Audio Problem LMDE

First off, i have already read the post: viewtopic.php?f=141&t=58616
Didn't help.

I'm fairly sure the problem is with my laptop, it's an HP 625 notebook.
I've read about fixes, through asla backport modules, but all the ones i can find, are for the wrong kernel version.
After two days, of no results. and no audio. i'd think it's safe to say i've searched before posting.

if anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated.
