i can't install ffmpeg , after install update pack 4. What can i do?. Thank you!!!

sudo aptitude install ffmpeg

Se instalarán los siguiente paquetes NUEVOS:
ffmpeg libavcodec53{b} libavdevice53 libavfilter2{a} libavformat53{a} libavutil51{ab} libpostproc52 libswresample0{a} libswscale2{a}

I think you have to make adjustments explained here: #Changing your repositories http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=1836

You did have UP3 before that, right?

Please post the output of
Code: Select all
uname -a

Do you like the languages mixed? Maybe you should set your locale to English.

The culprits are at least two of these:
insserv: There is a loop between service minissdpd and bootlogd if started
insserv: There is a loop between service vmware-USBArbitrator and mountall-bootclean if started

You can definitely remove bootlogd (it's all and more in /var/log/kern.log or dmesg).
Second line should be a problem with VMware's scripts: http://communities.vmware.com/message/1875412#1875412
Though I have not found out whatever mountall-bootclean is ...
