Ok, so being new to LMDE I just want to know how often updates come through. I am using the basic testing set up and have not seen any updates for a while. Of course I know that large scale updates are delivered via packs and such, but are there ever any updates inbetween? Please understand I come to LMDE from the UBUNTU side of life where it seems updates are almost a daily occurrence.
Thanks!

Re: Question about LMDE updates
With the default repositories of LMDE ("latest") you get all updates through update packs. Roughly on a monthly basis was the intent, but when building a new release such as now with Linux Mint 13 it will take longer.
Check the LMDE FAQ for understanding the repositories: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=197&t=91405
The update packs also handle the security updates. If that is a concern for you (perhaps it shouldn't be), see here for some more background: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 60#p560364
