google chrome crashes LMDE

Hi,

I have been using LMDE 201109 until a few days ago without much trouble. Two days ago I did a fresh install of 201204, and have been running MATE. I haven't changed much except for installing latest version of google chrome. Unfortunately, LMDE has crashed twice – both times when using chrome. First time chrome was running. The second time LMDE crashed when starting chrome. I took a picture of the monitor which is attached.

Can anybody help?
