Running LMDE with cinnamon desktop. Running fine, updated regularly. The recent apt-get update & apt-get dist-upgrade wants to bring in 500MB+ Does this have to do with gnome2 end-of-life? Is it safe to do this dist-upgrade? Anything I should know before pulling the trigger?

If there is a specific thread about this, sorry, I didn't see it.

One more thing...am I right in assuming that the big upgrade is Update Pack 5? That's where I'd be, right, if I've been regularly update/dist-upgrading?
