Important fixes idea

Hello
I've noticed that LMDE has problem with lack of known bug fixes. In normal rolling distro, you have things broken quite often but hopefully fixed quickly too.
Since LMDE is semi-rolling, it is more stable, but unfortunately also fixes can come rarely.
I just wonder if you could differentiate between 'updates' and 'fixes' and push such fixes from debian to lmde more quicky, before next UP arrives.
This wouln't probably make any sense if UP was relased every month, but since it is released not as often, this can be a good idea.
There is usually no problem with living few months with old program version, but it's harder to live with annoying bug.
To minimize additional LMDE team work, It could work in the following way:
- user report his/her problem AND known solution (=fixed package from debian repo) WITH links to get more information (only such detailed reports would be accepted)
- somebody from LMDE team just verifies that such bug was in fact fixed in debian, and it is in fact affecting users and update is pushed to LMDE repo
- no updates/new features allowed, only bugfixes
- just before UP release all fixes are merged with next UP to achieve best stability (if they aren't there already).
To make things more safe, such fixes could be pushed to 'romeo' or something similar, not main repo,
Example (in this case I'm the user who reports a bug):
In UP5, fglrx 12.6-point1 driver is broken. 32-bit apps are simply not working wth OpenGL under 64-bit lmde.
This is known upstream bug:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=683853
And it has been fixed in 12.6-point2 and subsequent releases (resolved bugs - important bugs).
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgrepor ... ble#_4_3_5
Of course I understand that you don't want to push sid package to LMDE so:
- it could be restricted to testing repo only
- package could be put on "waiting list" and pushed as soon as it reaches testing.
- package could be pushed from sid only if bug is severe, it doesn't require any other updates/dependencies from sid, and works with testing without modifications
What do you think about it? Would it be very hard to maintain? Im talking just about known bug fixes.
No "i want new libreoffice!!!" or "it doesn't work and I dunno why!" complains would be accepted.
I think something should be done with bugfixes, because LMDE is not as stable as Ubuntu based version, yet it receives almost no updates.
