I just did a clean install of LMDE and ran the update. While downloading I noticed a bunch of failed and hit downloads. Do I need to be concerned of these?
Then after the install was complete an error window popped-up (see attachment).
Do I need to do anything for this. Everything seems to be running fine.

Just do the download again; it will only get the failed files - then you can proceed with the installation. Don't do the install itself until you have all clean files.

Or better, open Software Sources (from the menu, or from Synaptic, or just by running software-properties-gtk in the terminal) and choose a different mirror in the combobox. The main server (packages.linuxmint.com) can be quite slow sometimes.
