Hello all,
I'm new to LMDE, but not new to linux (I've been using Ubuntu since 6.10.) Anyway, I seem to be having a hard time finding good mirrors to install updates from. I did a clean install of LMDE Cinn/Mate 64bit. I picked the closest/fastest option after mint-debian-mirrors ran, then noticed everything from packages.linuxmint.com was failing, so I followed the instructions here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=122213. Both are VERY flaky (about half of them fail most of the time) and I'm not sure why. Any ideas?

Re: Issues finding working mirrors
in software sources you can pick a different mirror for packages.linuxmint (if the one you picked is not working as expected)
for the debian repos run in terminal

Code: Select all
mint-choose-debian-mirror
