I have a simple question, I've just upgraded my kernel to 3.9. What will happens when will be available a large update pack? These packs contains a kernel upgrade. Will this upgrade interfere with my version of kernel? Or will add the new kernel aside mine? Are there risks of breaking something?
I just try to prevent future issues.

Maybe, you can't install kernel related packages dependencies. Will this upgrade interfere with my version of kernel?
Re: update packs and upgraded kernel
thanks. I will see what will happen, I hope nothing will break, and the system will adjust dependencies automatically recognizing the different kernel.
It's strange that this kind of potential issues is not discussed more broadly in the forum.
