Can't connect to mobile broadband after upgrade to UP7

Hi, I upgraded to UP7 and now I can't connect to mobile broadband with my USB modem (ZTE K3565-Z). My network connection is listed in network manager applet, but when I try to connect I get disconnected immediately. On second try, icon changes to indicate that it's trying to connect but nothing happens.

If I boot older kernel (3.2) it works fine, so my guess is that the bug is related to kernel. I even compiled 3.10.12 from source and same thing, can't connect.
